Physician Coverage Structure: ERMI believes that adequate physician coverage is necessary to promote quality patient care and physician satisfaction/longevity. All of our hospitalists programs have generous physician staffing ratios that allow our physicians to deliver quality care. We believe that a healthy balance of excellent compensation and strong coverage levels are best for patients and physicians.
Flexible Work Options: ERMI offers numerous employment options to suit the needs of today’s physician. This flexibility allows our physicians to choose a balance of compensation and work that best fits their goals.
- Full-time physicians receive a comprehensive benefit package and full incentive plan. The full-time package is available to physicians who work a minimum annual commitment of 2,184 clinical hours, approximately 182 hours per month.
- Full-time floater physicians receive a comprehensive benefit package and full incentive plan. They also receive a high hourly rate for agreeing to work at numerous ERMI hospitalist sites in the region.
- Casual or “moonlighter” physicians receive an hourly rate and paid occurrence based malpractice insurance.
Because ERMI serves many hospitals in the region, physicians enjoy the flexibility of working in a system that lets them choose the hospitalist site that best matches their career goals without changing their employer or leaving the area.
